🩺 Result. Medically certified unfit to drive
Based on your answers, a doctor has told you that you are medically unfit to drive for at least 12 months.
You may qualify for Free Travel through the medical certification route. This is used when:
- You are medically certified as unfit to drive for 12 months or more,
- You do not already qualify under another Free Travel route, and
- You and your doctor complete the required medical form for this route.

Only the Department of Social Protection (DSP) can make an official decision about free travel eligibility.
What you will probably get
- The FTM medical Free Travel application form, which includes a section your doctor must complete
Once the form is processed and approved, Free Travel is added to your Public Services Card (PSC) if you qualify.
