🧾 Q3 . Which sentence sounds most like your situation?

Step 3 of 4

For this question, think about your household and your usual income, regular bills and other costs.

Important

You do not need exact figures. Just choose the sentence that feels closest to real life.

Which description best matches your situation?

Our income feels low most weeks. We struggle with basic bills or extra costs.

Our income feels low, but with careful budgeting we usually keep up with our regular bills.

Our income usually covers regular bills comfortably. We do not have big medical or care bills.

Help choosing a description

You can use these as a guide.

  • Choose the first option if money often feels short and you often worry about health costs or other basic bills. For example, you sometimes struggle to pay for prescriptions, GP visits or other basic expenses.

  • Choose the second option if you are mostly managing, but it takes careful budgeting.
Most months you can cover bills and health costs, but it is tight and you have little left over.

  • Choose the third option if you can usually pay your regular bills and health costs
and feel you have some money left most months.

If none fits exactly, pick the one that feels nearest and you can still talk to your GP,
Citizens Information or the National Medical Card Unit for a more detailed look.

Tip

If you find it hard to judge your situation on your own, you can:

  • Ask a trusted family member, carer or friend to look at it with you, and jot down which option you chose and why.
  • Bring this note when you talk to a GP, community worker, Citizens Information, or the National Medical Card Unit about your situation.
